In this poem marriage does not sound like such a great thing. It’s most of what people don’t want, like the arguments, and trying to get away from children.
I am reminded of a sonnet 130 (My Mistress Eyes) by Shakespeare, where he describes his love as being so imperfect. Yet, at the end of the poem he says, And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare.As any she belied with false compare.”
i guess this is true! 🙂
Does make you laugh, sadly so true in some marriages – but not in all marriages. How about a marriage that still remains with love – that is what it should be. ~~Roxanne

What would you say if the spouses felt differently – he was deeply in love; she was not and realized maybe never was?
Though we all know someone whose marriage is still more like the love than marriage, we unfortunately know more whose marriages are like marriage as described above. Even worse, it is our marriage that is best described by the words above.
